Breakfast at Anna's

An eclectic collection of coffee mugs and an iconic wall of toasters are perfectly matched by the enjoyable atmosphere at Anna’s House. By the end of the summer, this local favorite will celebrate their expansion with a Grand Opening celebration at their Grandville location, and will open the doors to their newest location in Holland. These two locations join the original Anna’s House on Plainfield, as well as their location on East Beltline.

Decorated with a vibrant logo and black and white, 1950’s-style diner murals, these restaurants give customers a sneak peek into their breakfast or lunch experience before they ever walk through the door. The atmosphere inside is bright and sunny, with vintage-like touches and teal and lime green accents sprinkled throughout. And while the fun artwork, design features, and cute breakfast bar speak volumes to the dining experience – the real star of the show is the food.

And, of course, the coffee. We're proud to be part of the Anna’s House menu, with our Kent Club blend being served as their cup of house coffee. For us, sometimes seeing what entrees people pair their morning coffee with can be the fun part, so we took a team of Ferris employees to the new Grandville location to check it out.

Ursula, our Graphic Designer, tried the Smoked Salmon Hash. A bowl overflowing with smoked salmon, a potato medley, sun-dried tomatoes, green onion, capers, tarragon cheese, and two eggs which she ordered scrambled.

Mark, our Director of Marketing, went for a more traditional breakfast route with their Eggs Benedict, featuring all-natural ham and two basted eggs, served on top of English muffins, and finished with creamy hollandaise sauce.

Derek, our Sales Representative for Anna’s House, took a unique approach to coffee pairings and went with a delicious lunch salad. The Chipotle Chicken Rice Bowl combines romaine lettuce, grilled chicken breast, jasmine rice, black beans, tomato, cheddar cheese, and a chipotle aioli in flavorful blend.

I decided to follow Derek’s lead and chose a slightly spicier route, choosing the Breakfast Burrito to pair my cup of coffee with. Fluffy scrambled eggs, sausage, onion, green pepper, and cheddar cheese are wrapped inside of a large tortilla shell and served alongside sour cream, guacamole, and a house-made ranchero sauce.

Regardless of which dish you choose to try on your next trip to any of the Anna’s House locations, you’re sure to experience a wonderful, often one-of-a-kind, meal. And don’t forget to order a cup of coffee to go with it.

Join us and the Ferris Coffee Truck at Anna’s House Grandville on Tuesday, August 25 for their Grand Opening Celebration, or visit their website for more information.
