These delicious donuts are inspired by our newest Lush Nuts almond flavor - Rose & Pink Peppercorn. There are some baked in as well as on top of the donut for garnish and added crunch. Recipe is as follows:
For the donut itself, I borrowed this recipe from Broma Bakery. Sarah has beautiful photos and the recipe is just as drool-worthy. Follow her recipe as is, but add in 1/3 cup of Lush Nuts Rose & Pink Peppercorn almonds, chopped.
1 cup powdered sugar
2-3 tablespoons milk (may need more)
1. Make 1 batch of donuts via Broma Bakery (link above).
2. Make the glaze - Whisk together powdered sugar and milk in a bowl until fully combined. The mixture should be thick, but still fluid enough to coat the donut. If it's too thick, add a bit more milk; if too thin, add more powdered sugar.
3. Dip the cooled donuts in the glaze and place on a cooling rack for excess glaze to drip off.
4. While glaze is still wet, decorate with dried rose petals and Rose & Pink Peppercorn Lush Nuts almonds as desired.
